“ Outstanding service. Waiters are true gentleman. Foods are delicious. We had Crab Claws Provencale, Oysters Arnaud, Crawfish O'Connor, and Bananas Foster. The turtle soup was surprisingly delicious with sherry. ”
“ Great time & the best food. Also, one of the most interesting places to eat in NOLA. The service was the best & Dhabi & Janine from Team 15. We dined in the Jazz Bistro. There are many rooms to dine in with a different theme in each. Ours had an up charge of 6 per guest which was worth it. A Jazz Trio comes to your table for a set while you dine. They even ask for a request & sing. The flaming dessert was prepared right in front of us. The cocktails were perfect. The filet & fish selections we had were tip top. In between courses there’s a bowl of warm water & lemon presented to clean fingers. The Caesar Salad & Crab Claws were tip top. The place is HUGE. We were invited to walk around & there was stairwell after stairwell, secret doorways rooms & a museum. #thetravelingscotts @rexscott69 #livingadream #rexscott69 ”
“ This place is like a slice of New Orleans foodie heaven. They have traditional french, creole, & original dishes. The drinks are awesome. Staff is so friendly and professional. They are dressed in tuxes, fine art, chandeliers but the vibe is surprisingly, pleasantly come as you are casual. We were there for a conference so there were mostly tables of business casual to suited business people, but also families. The table behind us had a very well behaved baby, especially for 8 am, in front of us was a couple with one half a polite, high-class hired party so it really was every mix of people you could imagine! Everyone was happy. Maitre D was so wonderful, and we had 7-8 bussers and servers total. It was a great experience. We loved the puff pastry escargot. It had all the qualities of traditional, but the puff pastry cap was a delicious touch. The shrimp Arnaud was delicious, but it was a cold dish and we didn’t expect that at all. Pleasantly surprised by that they split a veal and mushroom on try on two plates for us and it was absolutely delicious. We enjoyed a salad. Their signature side dish of pillow and potatoes was the stand out of the evening. We were told the entire story and if the potatoes that come in aren’t perfect they don’t serve it that night. I could see why this dish has earned a story on the menu, space well deserved! Have never had anything like that before and it was wonderful! Will return! Great experience all around. ”
“ We had a wonderful experience at Arnaud’s restaurant in the heart of the French Quarter while celebrating my wife’s birthday. The ambiance was delightful, and the staff were exceptionally polite and attentive throughout our visit. A special highlight was when three gentlemen performed a romantic song for my wife, making the occasion even more memorable. For our mains, we ordered the crab cake and shrimp creole. The crab cake, in particular, was outstanding—the best I’ve ever had—and I would highly recommend it. The only downside was a small miscommunication between the servers. They kindly offered a complimentary birthday dessert, but it ended up being the same dessert we had already ordered. While we appreciated the gesture, it could have been avoided with better communication or by offering an alternative dessert. Overall, it was a fantastic dining experience, and we would definitely return! ”
“ *Delayed post from Dec '24. What an exquisite experience at this Jazz Bistro! From the start, you can tell this restaurant prides itself on high quality service. Our server was attentive and the full restaurant staff constantly refilled out waters and cleared out plates immediately. As I was there during the holidays, the windows had decorative wreaths hanging and poinsettias in different areas. The Jazz band trio that floated around to the tables were wonderful to converse with and took many different requests. Food-wise, I really enjoyed the escargot (so buttery!), Cornish game hen (moist with a delicious veronique sauce), crab cakes (big enough to split), and cauliflower au vin (beautifully prepared vegetables - soft, yet grilled). The chicken and andouille gumbo had good flavor, but the chicken was dry, leaving a weird texture in my mouth. The brussel sprouts were okay, but a bit greasy for my taste. The bananas foster was well prepared in front of us with a flaming show and had all the right flavors, but I wish it had something to go with it like cake or shortbread cookie in order to give the dish more texture. It was too goopy. *Quick note about attire: men must be wearing a collared shirt or suit jacket! If not, they will provide one, but it's likely not to fit properly. ”
“ I’ve wanted to experience A rnaud’s New Orleans since a trip my family made here when I was 18. That was 1983. Tonight’s dinner was outstanding. Arnaud’s main dining room was a well oiled machine. Every table was full and everyone had attentive service. Mike, out server, was no exception. But he was exceptional. Crabcake Karen was a puff pastry shaped like a . Escargot also puff pastry were individual works of art. Everything we had was minimally seasoned to let the perfectly cooked food speak for itself. I came to try the famous bread pudding but found out it was only available at brunch. Instead we had bananas foster which was the best I’ve ever had. A staple in the French Quarter, I’m sure Arnaud’s will be here for at least another 106 years. ”
“ Great, old school experience. Varied and excellent menu, decent wine list. Service is impeccable. Lounge has a live band that serenades each table. Great cocktail options. Be warned that there is a surcharge for the musicians but it’s a wonderful experience all around. Gumbo is some of the best in the world. Frog legs amazing. Love to go back. ”
“ Just had a fabulous dinner. Food, service, everything was 5 stars. Our server, Jasper, was amazing. Attentive, entertaining, all around great guy. The food was incredible- I only wish I had two stomachs. The oysters on the half shell and the baked variety were both excellent. The shrimp bisque was amazing- just wish it was served in a bread bowl of their delicious homemade bread. The duck with blueberry sauce was great combo of flavors and the duck was cooked perfectly. I also tried the filet (excellent) and the lightly fried fish with a flavorful brown gravy. Bananas foster for dessert was the perfect ending . ”
